2 Day 1 Night Camping in the National Park
Highlights: This 2 day explores the over 1,000 years old big trees, misty mountain natural paradise panoramic view, spend one night at the bamboo or Banana forest camp, you can see and hear many different birds, monkey, barking dear, wild pigs (some time) and enjoy Nam Ha landscape and the warm hospitality of the Khmu people. The trek leads into the heart of the NamHa National Protected Area where you can see dense forest, the natural paradise panoramic view and valleys of the stream along the forests. You also be able to learn about traditional culture, life style of khmu people, forest ecosystems, herbs, birds and animals from the local Khmu guides. In the forest we collect your food and enjoy the taste of special forest spices, while you relax the fresh air in the jungle.
Day 1: NamTha-NamHa valley-misty mountain camp 6-7 hours
At 8:30 am depart from the office by Tuk tuk or Minivan heading south toward Vieng PhuxKha, stopping at Ban PhoLet, a traditional village of the Khmu ethnic group, where the village based-guide will join your group. First, you hike through rice paddies, then up into the top on the mountains of the NamHa NPA, where over 1,000 years old big trees, waterfalls, monkeys, deer, birds and etc have been reported. If you walk quietly and luck is on your side, you might hear and see them. And the trek will take you hike up to the misty mountain top for thirty minutes higher 1800 meters. On the misty mountain peak there is a great place to explore natural paradise view, colorful sunset and panoramic view on the misty mountain top excellent view. There will be the delicious traditional meals with some vegetables and spices cooking and collected with the help of the local guide. Stay at the comfortable jungle camp.
Day 2: Camp – PhuLet – Khmu village – NamTha 5-6 hours.
Early in the morning, you can do a short walk with a Khmu bird-caller and to see excellent view of the misty mountain. After your local guide served a breakfast, we continue to walk through the jungle of Nam Ha National Protected Area, along the way you will learn more about plants, trees, fruits and trap of animals and walking on the old French route, through bamboo forest and sometimes you will meet wild monkey, deer, birds, etc, have been reported. If you walk quietly, and luck is on your side, you might hear and see them. After a picnic lunch along the trek, in the afternoon you will reach Ban KonTou, Khmu village and walk around the village to see or share the people do their daily activities. This village is the one village left, settled inside the NamHa National Protected Area, after that we take a tuk tuk back to visiting local market in ViengPhouKha district and return to LuangNamTha.

What to prepare on the trip:
- Bring at least 2-3 liters of water per day. For your first day, the tour operator will provide around 2 water bottles. Please, keep always the empty bottle so you can refill the next day
- A good pair of shoes for walking
- A hat or cap
- Sunglasses
- Mosquito repellent/Insect repellent
- Sunscreen
- Toilet paper
- Raincoat (in rainy season, June-Sep)
- Pocket money etc.
- Please wear lifejacket and helmet for kayaking (Company will provide you all equiptment)
