We begin the tour at 9:00 AM from Nature Life Eco-Tours office by driving southward for half an hour to the starting point of the trek Ban Thasae. Here you will meet with your village guide who used to be a hunter in the area he will accompany you all the way on this trek. The trek is a moderate level but some parts could be muddy and slippery in the rainy season. The length of the trek would be around 5-6 hours trekking amongst the primary rainforest under big old trees shading us. Along the way, you may hear some animal sounds or even see a native animal. In the jungle there will be some case study activities of the ways of local people, such as making wildlife traps, bamboo arrow shooting. We will stop to have a jungle lunch cooked by your local guide who will also share his knowledge of the rainforest plants and herbs. He will also answer any questions you have about the wildlife or the culture. After lunch we will climb up a mountain where you will have a phenomenal view at the top. Then we descend down to the NamHa river and crossing the NamHa river by swing bamboo bridge. Then up to the village where our car will be waiting to pick us up for return to town around 4-5PM.
