We meet at the NATURE LIFE LAOS office at 9:00am. Our Tuk-tuk service will drop us off at Tha Sae village on the NAMHA RIVER deep in the heart of the NamHa NPA. Following some basic instruction on kayaking techniques and safety we begin paddling downriver. Immediately we find ourselves immersed in a lush tropical landscape as the current carries us deeper in to the rainforest.
Midday:
After witnessing some stunning scenery and tackling a series of rapids the current slows and we find a suitable spot for a riverbank picnic. While lunch is expertly prepared by our guides, take the opportunity to relax or swim in the river.
Afternoon:
Back on the river we encounter a series of yet more exciting rapids, set against a backdrop of stunning natural beauty. Further on we stop off at the khmu village for a refreshing break and the chance to meet the locals and learn about their unique and fascinating culture. Around 3:00 pm, we arrive at NALAN village, another khmu settlement that is also our home for the night.
Evening:
After meeting the locals and taking a tour of the village, take time to relax, go for a refreshing swimin the river, or explore the local area. At 7:00 pm a traditional Lao dinner will be served, after which you can relax at your homestay or spend a few hours socializing with the locals.
